Farmers are often experimenting with operations and materials on farm, but unless there is deliberate design to the way these trials are set up, the results can be meaningless or worse still …. misleading.
The LandWISE On-farm trial guide was put together with support from Foundation for Arable Research and the MAF Sustainable Farming Fund. It is designed to allow farmers to set up simple trials which can provide meaningful and reliable results. The guide is based on a 10 point plan for successful trials.
